1876 Alexander Graham Bell patents telephone. Back then he had no idea it would turn out the way it did with everyone and their brother talking on cell phones everywhere, getting on people’s nerves, driving while talking, waiting on people while talking, talking on the cell phone while talking to someone else in person, etc.

I understand now why Bell didn’t have a phone in his house. He said it was annoying. Did you know that? The man who invented the telephone didn’t have one in his own house because it was annoying. He should be around today.
